Astrid – giving a reason for a non reasonable name...
in a town, in the middle of nowhere, let's say or-akiva (it's near ceaseria), a ufo came, and landed.
All the animal where scared, even the little fluffy ones, and they where running.
And there was a cabin in the middle of nowhere, there in the nowhere land, and in the cabin there was a cute pregnant argentinian woman, that started to have contractions because of all the fuss the little fluffy animals were doing.
And she was there alone, and didn't know what to do, so a nordik alien came to rescue.
He calmed all the little fluffy animals with his hi-tech ultra-briolette super-gumper calming rays.
Then, all the little fluffy animals noticed the cute argentinian that was having contractions and came to see if they could help...
"can we help you?" asked the fluffy animals representative (he didn't have a big mustach)
"i don't know" sayd the cute argentinian "you see, i was never pregnant before, and i realy don't know what to do"
"grrrbl. brrbl. beep. greep!!!" said the nordic alien
"WHAT?!" said all the fluffy little animals
"WHAT?!" said the cute pregnant argentinian woman
"Oh, i'm deeply sorry" said the nordic alien "I forgot I am not in my dreamy nordic planet, with all the dreamy nordic tall-blone-blueeyed chicks" he stopped for a moment, then continued "but since i'm already in this humid country, i might as well help you with your newborn baby"
"That would be too kind" said the cute pregnant arentinian woman
"Never mind that" said the nordic alien "what gender do you want the child to be?" he asked "male or female?"
The little fluffy animals all looke d at each other, astonished by the question.
The cute pregnant argentinian woman started to talk slowly, and said "the doctor at the hospital 'Near The Middle Of Nowhere' (a very respectable hospital) told me that it's a boy"
"Never mind the doctor" said the nordic alien "what do YOU want?"
"Well, i guess i'd preffer a cute little argentinian Israeli girl, since i'm a cute pregnant argentinian woman" said the cute pregnant argentinian woman
"and a girl you shall have" said the nordic alien, and then stopped.
"but before we bring her out, you should give her a name, you know"
"what's your name?" asked the cute pregnant argentinian woman "i think it would be only proper that i call her after you, since you'll be saving me of all this misery"
"oh, thank you very much! i'll be honored" said the nordic alien "my name is Asternamachlibegrid, a very common name in my nordic planet"
But suddenly it became dark, and the entire animal population started to look at the nordic alien with fear, the wind started to blow, cold and silent ...
And while the wind was blowing it whispered:
"Astrid"
"Astrid is a too short name" said the nordic alien, and then continued "in my nordic planet, Astrid it is a name for a rare kind of flower, that blooms all year long" and after a while, he smiled and said "well, cute little argentinian woman, if you want to listen to the wind, I don't mind you calling your little newborn by the name of Astrid"
"I would like that" said the cute little argentinian woman "can you please take her out of me now?" she asked with fear
And without saying anything further, the nordic alien said "hrump!" and the cute little argentinian woman found herself holding a cute little argentinian Israeli baby girl in her hands
The fluffy little animals were amazed, because in that very instant, the cute little argentinian woman returned to her cute little figure she had before her pregnancy
The nordic alien approached the cute little argentinian woman, kissed the baby on her forehead and said "good night, cute little argentinian Israely girl with a nordic name. May the fluffy little animals take care of you..."
"Good night to you too" said the cute little argentinian woman "Thanks"
And then the nordic alien hovered into his ufo, and flew away to his cold nordic planet, to his cold nordic perfectly-shaped blueeyed tall-blond boring-as-hell wife.
And the cute little (now not pregnant) argentinian woman, with Astrid ג€“ her cute little argentinian Israely girl with a nordic name, lived happily ever after, with the fluffy little animals.
And it was good.
